Honey Bees and Beekeeping Programs Summer 2019

Buzz on over to investigate the fascinating lives of honey bees and beekeepers! Explore honey bee anatomy, life in the hive, and the honey making process. Handle the equipment of modern beekeepers and learn the history of the trade. Don a beekeeper’s suit and participate in a hive inspection with one of Friends of Five Rivers’ beekeepers.

Child and Adult Program – 3 Hours

Time and Date:
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Thursday, July 11th (Rain date July 12th)
OR
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 13th (Rain date August 15th)
Participants: One child between the ages of 8 and 13 accompanied by one adult aged 18 or older.
Material Fee: $10 per participant
Program Fee: Friends Members = Free Program for Adult/Child Non-Members = $40

Adult Program - 3 Hours

9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 16th

OR
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 14th
(Rain date August 16th)
Participants: Adults 18 years of age and up
Material Fee: $10 per participant
Program Fees: Friends’ Members = Free! Non-Members = $20
